Motorola EM30: a cool cell phone

A new bar-style phone from Motorola has cleared the FCC’s approval process. Motorola EM30 look almost like MOTOROKR E8, but it loses the omega wheel navigation scroll bar and replaces it with a standard D-pad.

This particular device wasn’t mentioned in Moto’s leaked ’08 lineup for Asia, suggesting that we might just see the GSM / EDGE device elsewhere — North America, specifically, since we have both 850 and 1900MHz here.

HTC Touch Dual launching in US Best Buy Mobile

At first, we were all stoked at the realization that it took HTC shy of two months to go from announcement to availability of its US-flavored Touch Dual.

The US model will be among the very first devices anywhere to ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 out of the box, which is kinda cool.

Nokia let users to transfer NGage games

This week, fan Web site All About N-Gage noticed the existing licensing terms, which states that games bought and paid for can only be used on one phone, and got confirmation from Nokia that games can’t be transferred to another phone.

“Internally there have been some mixed messages in this matter as well,” said Oskar Södergren, communications manager at Nokia Scandinavia.
But users outraged over the licensing terms can rest easy; a mechanism for transferring games to a new phone is under development.

Samsung’s latest volley in the iPhone’s general direction — the Instinct — had been promised for a June launch, but beyond that we hadn’t gotten a specific date.

That changes today with news that we should all be able to run our fingers over the Instinct’s glossy front starting on the 20th of the month.

Orange and Nokia today announced a strategic international partnership, extending the first agreement signed by the two companies in February 2008. The two industry leaders have committed to a three year partnership.

Orange and Nokia have agreed to launch a suite of integrated multimedia services on the new Nokia handsets, launching in H208 across nine major markets, in an initiative designed to boost the adoption of mobile digital entertainment. As part of the strategic partnership, customers will have direct access to the Orange Music Store, both Orange and NGage games, as well as Nokia Maps.
The two companies plan to create 10 million active Mobile Maps users on Nokia devices within the Orange footprint by 2010.I think this partnership will be a succes.

Verizon Wireless is releasing the entry-level Motorola W755 available for purchase through Verizon’s website and retail outlets. And being an entry-level mobile phone, the W755 doesn’t promise too much in terms of features and capabilities.

In addition, the Motorola W755 also boast of touch-sensitive controls that lets you access music, activate Bluetooth and adjust ring volumes or mute calls without even opening the phone.

Philips 198 and 199 will be a very cheap cell phone ?

Philips is set to release two new affordable phones for the Asian and European mobile phone market. Both handsets looks the same in design, dimension and features except that the 199 is equipped with FM radio and headsets.

These two candy bar mobile phone pretty much carry the same features as their predecessor, the Philips 192 which was released not too long ago.
