Google’s give up production for gPhone

Google’s give up production for gPhone
Google dropped the phone gPhone production in collaboration with China Unicom and two Chinese companies and has postponed the launch in China of a telephone provided with Android technology, following issues related to hacker attacks and censorship.
China Unicom announced in an internal note that Google will not provide authorization for cooperation in the field of content and applications using its trademark, according to the site chinatechnews.com and Reuters.
It also was canceled launch first Google phone in China, originally scheduled for January 20.
Motorola and Nokia, participants in this project, have received notice from Google in order to eliminate all elements related to Google on mobile involved in cooperating with China Unicom.
Google Android platform has limited use, but asked for phones produced in cooperation with the Chinese company does not have the Google logo.
China Unicom is also a partner of Apple iPhone, which was launched in the Chinese market in 2009.
Google announced last week that its and the other 20 companies were attacked by hackers in China and warned that it may withdraw from this country.
Google also announced it no longer wants to censor search site Google.cn in China, intending to discuss with the authorities in this regard.
