Nokia N900 can be used as a PS3 controller

Lucky owners of one of the worst smartphones on the market, Nokia N900, have an extra reason for joy.

N900 can be used as a controller for PLAYSTATION 3 games consoloa. This is possible thanks to an alpha application called BlueMaemo. The application allows control of a variety of other devices via Bluetooth, PS3 being one of them.

There is also a short video demonstration N900 controlling console, posted on YouTube by maemo Italy, and all comments are in Italian. Following the clip, you can see how, with the help of the phone connects to the console and how it is used then to go into it.

All the buttons essential for a PS3 controller on the phone screen is cramped and it is clear that, although no longer appears on the video gaming experience using the N900 as a controller is more inconvenience than when using the original controller.

So here’s a function in addition to N900: is useful when it takes an extra controller for PS3, multiplayer on the same console, or if the original controller broke in the middle of the night, when it closed at the electronics store.

BlueMaemo application is in alpha development stage and may give yet more errors, but also helps to demonstrate the versatility smartphoneului Nokia N900 and existing possibilities of coupling of different gadgets in the house through wireless connections.
