Motorola EM30: a cool cell phone

A new bar-style phone from Motorola has cleared the FCC’s approval process. Motorola EM30 look almost like MOTOROKR E8, but it loses the omega wheel navigation scroll bar and replaces it with a standard D-pad.

This particular device wasn’t mentioned in Moto’s leaked ’08 lineup for Asia, suggesting that we might just see the GSM / EDGE device elsewhere — North America, specifically, since we have both 850 and 1900MHz here.

Verizon Wireless is releasing the entry-level Motorola W755 available for purchase through Verizon’s website and retail outlets. And being an entry-level mobile phone, the W755 doesn’t promise too much in terms of features and capabilities.

In addition, the Motorola W755 also boast of touch-sensitive controls that lets you access music, activate Bluetooth and adjust ring volumes or mute calls without even opening the phone.

According to Lim Joung Ah, Marketing Director of Motorola Korea, “With its luxurious yet tranquil look and carefully-selected features, the RAZR2 Pink Silver was designed to appeal to the confident young generation.” I’m sure Motorola hopes the guy’s right.

T-mobile USA Delays Nokia 5310 and 5610 Xpress Music, Motorola Z6w Cancelled

T-mobile USA has had a tough time launching their 3g data network, but it seems cell phone launch troubles are on their way as well. Today the carrier announced that it would be cancelling the Motorola Z6w due to testing issues and added that the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music and Nokia 5610 Xpress Music would be delayed until later this year.

Originally the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music was scheduled to go on sale this month, but it will be delayed until early June to work out the kinks. Read the rest of this entry
