MotorolaMotorola stocks dipped to a five-year low in yesterday’s trading spelling more trouble to the beleaguered handset manufacturer. Moto plans to split into two companies, but whether the market will regain its confidence on Motorola after the split remains to be seen.

My on opinion? Moto’s handset division needs a buyer. Moto needs a major injection of new ideas. Right now, none of its current lineup of handsets seem formidable enough in the current mobile climate. The RAZR might have been Moto’s biggest success, but the line proved to be true to its name as it also spelled suicide for the company that just refused to accept the glory days are over.

Crank Cell Phone ChargersI have had the chance of buying this novelty gadget, a crank LED flashlight but this is the first time I’ve seen a Crank LED Flashlight & Cell Phone Charger in one. I really had to blog about this because, well, talk about old school!

Practically the same for pictures thought it adds an option to take a picture from the camera. the problem is that when you take the picture it does not take you back to Google Talk. Sony Ericsson F305This latest slider from Sony Ericsson targets the youth market and is focused on providing an enriched gaming experience. It carries quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, as well as stereo Bluetooth and an FM radio. The F305 has what Sony Ericsson calls Motion Gaming. Similar to the Nintendo Wii, it is sensitive to movement, and will allow users to flick or swing the phone to interact with games, such as bowling or fishing.

Sony Ericsson says developers are working on a wide range of 2D and 3D games for the device that will be available later this year. It has dedicated gaming buttons, stereo speakers, and has two different covers to personalize the phone. The F305 also comes with a 2 megapixel camera, supports Memory Stick Micro for storage, and media playback. It will be available in select markets in the fourth quarter.
