Mobile space is about to enter the world of Pico Projectors which will bring the convenience of projector technology to the mobile phone industry. The advancement on miniaturisation can now allow projectors to be scaled down in size to fit comfortable inside a mobile phone.

What makes this prospect of mobile Pico Projectors a more solid notion is the senior vice president of Texas Instruments (TI); John Van Scoter, speaking in Taipei at a Texas Instruments forum on May 14th has confirmed that those mobile handset which feature Texas Instrument’s projector tech will hit the market with Pico Projectors onboard sometime later this year which will mirror other Pico projector manufacturers.
Sharp Announes Progress on DMFC Power Density

Last week, Sharp has announced that it had achieved the world’s highest power density, 0.3W/cc, for direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) for mobile equipment. This new technology enables efficient power generation from a small cell volume.

Mobiado has just unveiled their new luxury phone, the Professional 105 ZAF with a thickness of 10.6mm. The entire front and back of the phone has been crafted from large pieces of sapphire crystal, providing a modern minimalist look with a wear resistance second only to diamond.

The phone frame is precision CNC machined from aircraft aluminum to create a strong yet light body, polished, and then anodized it to produce a ceramic surface for the toughest of uses. The iconic Professional 105 ZAF is available in six designer colors.
Six Apart Announces Native TypePad Application for Blackberry

Six Apart announced availability of a native mobile blogging application for the Blackberry Curve and Blackberry Pearl smartphones that lets users manage comments, upload photos and draft, edit and post to their TypePad blogs with just a few clicks.

TypePad customers can now easily capture and upload photos directly from their Blackberry Curve and Blackberry Pearl phones to their blogs wirelessly. TypePad bloggers can also use their device to compose draft blog posts, store them for later editing or publish them from within the device’s trackball and keyboard interface. LG and Samsung will propose their jointly developed technology as the North American technology standard for mobile DTV. Samsung and LG held a signing ceremony at Seoul Plaza Hotel in Seoul, Korea, on 14.06.2008. At the ceremony, the two companies agreed to cooperate in order to assure rapid adoption by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) of a single common in-band mobile DTV standard.

While Qwest looks to revamp its wireless offerings in an effort to get ‘em in the black, fellow landline specialist Embarq is contemplating killing its cellphones altogether. The Sprint spinoff’s CFO mentioned last week that it’s going to continue to serve its meager wireless customer base until at least 2009, but after that, it may look to move them to another carrier.
