I joined in 2010 and thought to look over the last ten years mobile environment. Especially since it all happened. Yes, the first mobile phone with a camera, the first 3G network, Windows Mobile, iPhone – ten years have been incredible.

2000 Sharp launches first camera phone, J-SH04. This year will see the first phone with Bluetooth.

2001 First commercial 3G network is launched in Japan, and follows two years later and Europe.

2002 RIM BlackBerry smart phone make its first. T68i Sony Ericsson launches first mobile phone with MMS, which allows users to send longer text and even pictures.

Windows Mobile 2003 is released, reaching widely used by business people working in travel.

Motorola launches the 2004 United States a very thin slider phone, Razr, which immediately becomes a global success. Moreover, still is one of the best selling phones of all time.

The Palm Treo 800w is almost here. The Palm Treo 800w is on track to be available on Sprint’s network in the very near future. Recent speed tests were run for the new phone and found that it ran at 475kbps.
