This latest slider from Sony Ericsson targets the youth market and is focused on providing an enriched gaming experience. It carries quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, as well as stereo Bluetooth and an FM radio. The F305 has what Sony Ericsson calls Motion Gaming. Similar to the Nintendo Wii, it is sensitive to movement, and will allow users to flick or swing the phone to interact with games, such as bowling or fishing.
Sony Ericsson says developers are working on a wide range of 2D and 3D games for the device that will be available later this year. It has dedicated gaming buttons, stereo speakers, and has two different covers to personalize the phone. The F305 also comes with a 2 megapixel camera, supports Memory Stick Micro for storage, and media playback. It will be available in select markets in the fourth quarter.
Sony Ericsson F305 is The Nintendo Wii of Mobile Phones. Among the new mobile phones announced by Sony Ericsson this week, the F305 is perhaps the most innovative and features something different. The F305 puts gaming it the heart of Sony’s latest phone release, so to speak with its motion gaming feature. This system lets users control games with the flick of a wrist or the swing of the arm and then let them see the results straightaway on the screen. Think of it as the Nintendo Wii of mobile phones.

To complement this motion gaming feature, the F305 was also packed with stereo speakers, and a 2.0” screen and you have an ultra-cool mobile phone gaming device. For its gaming features, the F305 features a horizontal gaming mode, Cross key + dedicated gaming buttons, 3D games, gaming shortcut key, stereo speakers, Play Now, JAVA MIDP 2.0 support, media player that supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+, TrackID, FM Radio, and Bluetooth (A2DP).

With WCDMA 1700 and 2100 MHz support, the Sony Ericsson TM506 is set for a T-mobile launch. While the last Sony Ericsson to sell on the carrier’s network was the T610 back in July 2003, the recent launch of the 1700 MHz band is well deserving for some SE love. Although T-mobile has not confirmed the device and we only have FCC filings to go by, the last of the big four carriers to launch a 3G network is the only likely candidate to make use of the 1700 / 2100 MHz bands. No surprises here but at least Sony Ericsson’s C905 Cyber-shot is now official. As a camera, we’re talking Xenon flash, image stabilization, face detection and 8.1 megapixels crammed into a tiny sensor of unspecified make or dimensions. As a phone we’re looking at quad-band GSM (9-hours talk / 380 hours standby) and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 on the C905a worldphone variant.

In case you couldn’t tell, Sony‘s getting down at CommunicAsia. Next up from Singapore is a fresh pair of HSPA USB modems, the MD400 and GPS-packin’ MD400g. Both sticks pull double duty as a M2 / microSD card reader, but it’s not like we haven’t seen that functionality tossed into similar units already.
