A partial list of the updated features in Nokia Maps 2.0 includes:

DRIVE:
- Improved optional Car Navigation equals PND-level car navigation experience with faster routing.
- Easy-to-use, updated User Interface features including a new navigation carousel with pre-defined navigation views – i.e. navigation, arrow, bird-eye.
- Top-of-the-line navigation features: signposts, multi-stop route planner

WALK:

Nokia Maps 2.0

Nokia has moved its Maps 2.0 application out of beta and it is now available in it’s final form. Maps 2.0 provides both walking and driving directions, as well as points-of-interest data.

Updates include enhanced pedestrian navigation, new satellite images and support for integrated compass orientation. Nokia announced today that its highly anticipated update for Nokia Maps has left beta stage and is now ready for consumers to download.

Nokia - Google

Nokia has made certain attempts to encroach on Google’s territory over the past few months – or, rather, what it sees as Nokia territory. Take mobile advertising, for example. Nokia will ship over 35 million GPS-enabled mobile phones this year alone, each of which is capable of supporting location-based mobile advertising.
