Nokia smartphone owners receive a very good news from the Finnish company: the GPS Ovi Maps will soon be free. Those from Nokia but also tell us when we will be available.

Currently, only basic functions of Ovi Maps are free. If you want to use advanced features such as guided car navigation and pedestrian, you must pay. In the future, however, all the features of Ovi Maps will be free. Nokia made the move to increase market share in the segment of the GPS.

So if you were going to pay for any of the functions Ovi Maps, now is not the best time. Better wait until the free version appears.

Nokia Morph, I’m sure you’ve heard of it. In short, a concept phone is 100% flexible, seemingly impossible. Here, however, that today the Finns have already made the first concrete step and had a patent for flexible display for mobile devices. Rumor has been going around lately that Verizon Wireless was about to change up its wireless plans. Looks like Verizon is tired of the rumors, and has issued a press release detailing the changes that are about to go in effect on Monday January 18. The changes are mixed, some being welcome changes, some seeming to almost be a step backwards in terms of customer relations.

The first big change for Verizon is the introduction of new Unlimited Talk and Unlimited Talk & Text plans. The plans will cost $69.99 and $89.99 per month, respectively. Those plans will allow for unlimited calling to anyone, and unlimited texting to anyone, possibly eliminating the annoying calling bubbles the current plans provide. The family plans for each will cost $119.99 for Unlimited Talk and $149.99 for Unlimited Talk & Text, which includes the first two lines.

Nokia has introduced a prototype phone that could work based on the Coca-Cola. Chinese designer Zheng Daizi created a concept mobile phone that could be supplied with refreshments. Bio-loaded battery hold three or four times longer than conventional lithium batteries. The phone would operate on the basis of batteries that use enzymes to generate electricity from carbohydrates.

“I realized that ordinary phone batteries are expensive, consume significant resources when they are made and a problem in recycling, being environmentally harmful,” said Zheng. “The phone uses a bio-battery instead of traditional batteries which pollute.

Dropped unofficially on the Internet, Sony Ericsson XPERIA Robyn derived from X10 and is about two times lower than this.
