N900 can be used as a controller for PLAYSTATION 3 games consoloa. This is possible thanks to an alpha application called BlueMaemo. The application allows control of a variety of other devices via Bluetooth, PS3 being one of them.

Interesting news from some employees of the Finnish company (found in a unofficial) which informs us that Nokia is preparing for Q2 2010 a series of dual-SIM phones. The only details known at present is that the facilities will be typical mainstream devices. If the rumors are confirmed, we will see in 2010 a significant increase in dual-SIM phone, after 2009 they have not sparked an interest so great as in years of onset.

One of the reasons that prevent the spread of dual-SIM phones at a level close to that of regular phones is the lack of interest from big companies to manufacture such devices. The only major producer that manifests as how this segment is Motorola. The rest, as we all know, are largely obscure Chinese manufacturers.

Nokia has recently released firmware updates for two of its NSeries smartphones – N78 and N82. The N78 firmware has reached version 20.149.051.1 and among notable things updates Nokia Maps to version 2.0 and makes user interface more responsive. This includes faster transitions between screens.

As for the N82, firmware version 31.0.016 adds UDP (User Data Preservation), as well as an update to Nokia Maps, which in turn is more stable after the update. AllAboutSymbian has more details on this one.

Apart from the highlights mentioned above, new firmware versions also make sure overall stability is improved, as many of the known bugs have been fixed. Naturally, it is advised that you backup your device prior to hitting the “Update” button.

Since we gave the world an exclusive and extensive video walkthrough with the Nokia E71 last month all other E71 news has been, well, boring. Nokia XpressMusic 5800Nokia’s 5800 “Tube” handset hasn’t exactly been doing the best job staying under cover, and it’s now turned up yet again to offer another sign of its presumably imminent launch, this time in a poster for Germany’s SMS Shop. Somewhat curiously, the touchscreen-based device (S60, specifically) is now apparently branded with the XpressMusic moniker, rather than XpressMedia, although your guess is as good as ours as to what that might indicate. Otherwise, the only tidbits the poster has to offer is that the device does in fact boast WLAN and HSDPA capabilities, although given that all the other phones in the poster have been officially announced, it seems safe to bet that we should be hearing more about the 5800 straight from Nokia sooner rather than later.
German people can enjoy now the appear of Nokia XpressMusic 5800 in a German poster.
