RIM company has every reason to celebrate this year because they DevCon unofficial number 9888 Apps, games, themes and all sorts of applications in World app. They are close enough to reach the threshold of 10,000 Apps exactly one month before DevCon.

I was also happy to note that I spotted quite a few decent and useful $0.99 apps showing up so hopefully the tide has turned on relatively expensive BlackBerry apps.

The top five categories with most packages in  App World are:

  1. Themes – 2217

Now we have the user manual for Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 thanks to FCC on the internet.
The device, device was launched in June, packs a 3″ HVGA display, 3.2 megapixel camera, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, 128 MB of internal memory, 600 MHz processor, and Android 1.6 with SE’s UX UI. The device has the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz 3G HSPA bands, which makes AT&T a likely landing spot for this little number. However, we’re starting to wonder how many mid-level Android devices can fit into AT&T’s smartphone portfolio.
