“The Verizon Wireless Samsung Fascinate™ is available for pre-order starting August 29. As an added and exclusive bonus, Best Buy Reward Zone members can reserve the Samsung Fascinate on August 27, two days before it goes on pre-sale to the general public. That priority access will help ensure that Reward Zone members get their device first.”
No pricing was mentioned in the article; although $199 with a 2-year contract is a safe bet. The device still doesn’t have an official release date, but that has to be coming very soon.

Verizon Wireless has updated wireless broadband plans with a new $80 monthly option for 5GB of data. Other Verizon Wireless plans include 1GB for $50/month, 300MB for $30/week, and 100MB for $15/day. Verizon Wireless offers post-paid broadband at $60 for 5GB/month or $40 for 250MB/month. As a point of comparison, Sprint’s pre-paid wireless broadband option via Virgin Mobile USA offers unlimited data for $40 per month.

Storm 3 was the subject of speculation for months, leading to a leak in the industry.BBleaks has just released another round of rumored specifications and details for consumption. There are quite a few items that have been on BlackBerry users’ wishlists for a while. According to the post, the form factor is the same as the Storm 2, good news for those with accessories for that device.
Htc Droid will launch just in August “thanks” a big delay.There were plenty of rumors out there about what was happening, even to the extent that the premiere Android-based device was on the way out from Verizon, but it’s been pretty much confirmed that due to Samsung’s inability to keep up with demand (for HTC, not for themselves) for their AMOLED displays, the Droid Incredible is as uncommon as a Unicorn.

Samsung’s US team held a swanky event in NYC this evening to launch all four of its new US-spec Galaxy S phones in style. If you haven’t been brought up to speed on Samsung‘s stateside Android invasion, the Captivate is headed to AT&T, the Fascinate to Verizon, the Epic 4G to Sprint and the Vibrant to T-Mobile. Every phone from Galaxy S Family have 4-inch Super AMOLED screens, 1GHz Hummingbird Cortex A8 CPUs, and cams that can capture 720p video. We’ve already got detailed hands on impressions of the Captivate and Epic 4G, but stay tuned for Fascinate and Vibrant previews tonight. Verizon, just announced with Skype at MWC that they have created an exclusive easy to use Skype application for BlackBerrys. No word yet on the release date but they promise to have more information by next month. The upcoming Skype/Verizon application will allow you to:
* make and receive unlimited Skype-to-Skype voice calls to any Skype user around the globe
* call international phone numbers at competitive Skype Out calling rates
* send and receive instant messages to other Skype users
* remain always connected with the ability to see friends’ online presence
When launched the new Skype mobile application will be available for the BlackBerry Storm 9530, Storm2 9550, Curve 8330, Curve 8530, 8830 World Edition, and Tour 9630. I am really curious to know how Verizon has managed to get full VoIP working on BlackBerrys but I welcome it all the same. Compared to other smartphones which already have 3G Skype calling this is not really a game changer but for BlackBerry users who have yet to see a true VoIP solution this is huge!
